Oxygen STOCKS Components!

If your current broker is quoting an obsolete military part, chances are, the product comes from us.

Today: We currently have 62,641 references comprised of everything from military grade Integrated Circuits to Commercial grade resistors and connectors!

2004-Present: Inventory acquisition moved into the forefront of our business goals in response to the needs of our clients. We improved and expanded our warehouse facilities improving on our ESD and Storage Systems while growing our inventory.

1998-2003: The strategy of purchasing bulk inventory speculatively continued as Oxygen acquired product from Thomson CSF, ABB, Ericsson, and Philips as well as a host of others. Oxygen Electronics’ policy is to purchase surplus only from organizations that have stringent guidelines for product handling to ensure that every item in inventory is of pristine origin. At the close of 2003, the number of line items in inventory topped ten thousand.

1997: Oxygen Electronics purchased the assets of Alliance Electronics Distribution based in Arizona. This acquisition of thousands of military semiconductors with manufacturer traceability included products manufactured by Analog Device, National Semiconductor, Motorola, and Zilog.

Consignment

Over the past couple of years, the independent distribution channel has suffered a crunch in cash flow. As a result, the funds available to purchase "lots" of inventory have diminished. At the same time, the OEM and CEM community has realized there is a great opportunity in turning surplus and obsolete inventories into cash.

The business model that generates the highest rate of return is the consignment model, whereby a qualified independent distributor invests the time and effort to organize a "Lot" of inventory in a controlled distribution warehouse while the OEM/CEM continues to own the product.

Process

  • Inventory shipped to Oxygen facility at the expense of Oxygen.
  • Data collection & Inspection to optimize inventory for Resale
  • Invoicing - Collections
  • Payment to You

Advantages

  • Product stored and handled to ESD and Environmental Standards with 24/7 security and access monitoring.
  • Small Quantity, Partial Quantity Sales
  • Proximity to Independent Distribution market with more than 1,500 Independent Distributors in the USA
  • Sales handled by an experienced Distributor able to respond to requests for product photos, date codes, etc.

Revenue Result

  • 50% of all income generated from stock.
  • Monthly reporting and payment

*The Result may depend on the stock itself. IC, Memory, Diodes, and Transistors are of course what sell the most.

Excess Inventory Solutions

In addition to Consignment as a method of disposing of surplus and excess inventories, there are two other viable methods utilized by Oxygen Electronics to support the needs of our clients.

Bulk Purchasing:

While this method of liquidating surplus inventory has the lowest rate of return as compared to Consignment Sales and OEM Excess Sales, it is still a valuable vehicle to liquidate surplus and excess inventories. Oxygen Electronics actively purchases bulk inventories or lot buys of excess components.
Please contact cdebalko@o2xygen.com

OEM Excess Sales:

In this arrangement, Oxygen Electronics, based on data provided to us by our OEM client base, acts as an exclusive sales agent negotiating sales of inventory no longer required for OEM production. Currently, Oxygen Electronics has exclusive access to more than 93,000 items that are in stock with our European Client Base which are marketed through not only our own web site, but also through nine subscription based inventory marketing services.

This program has produced amazing returns for our clients who have the ability to manage and who are willing to accept the risk of sales. Please contact mpourrat@o2xygen.com com

Account Management

Oxygen's Growth in Troubled Times
References Sold

While the entire distribution channel suffered between 2001 and 2004, Oxygen Electronics, due to a successful account management strategy, witnessed an increase in the number of items supplied to our clients. We view this data set as substantiation of a lucrative strategy and thriving customer relationships.

With more than 2,600 competitors in the spot market for electronics components, opportunism has always run rampant. When you’re selling components the offer price is always too low and when buying components the buy price is always too high. Transactions are looked at as nothing more than a transaction.

Throughout its history, Oxygen Electronics continually made a commitment to an Account Management Strategy eliminating the opportunistic transaction and focusing on a long term business relationship. We recognize that if we deliver a quality product at a competitive price on time this time, we will have earned the opportunity to compete for the business the next time!

Our Account Management Strategy teamed with our internal information systems allow us to seamlessly integrate with our clients. The result of this merger provides for a primary point of contact at Oxygen Electronics but also allows anyone at Oxygen to respond to the specific needs of a specific client. By doing this, we have enabled our OEM client base to:

  • Downsize the number of vendor relationships maintained.
  • Have a partnered Overseas Purchasing presence.
  • Efficiently purchase cost effectively.

Our Account Management Strategy provides our staff with the flexibility to offer product samples, datasheets, valuable product information, and Bill of Material analysis.

Simply put, our Account Management Strategy is our way of saying that we are here for the duration.

Oxygen Delivers Competitive Pricing

While many purchasing agents are trained to view the cost of a component as equal to the price paid today, Oxygen Electronics views cost from a much broader point of view. This broader point of view includes various purchasing strategies capitalizing on market trends and includes the multiple additional transactional costs associated with a purchase.

Cost, Price, Time, and The Market:

The graph below illustrates both the market knowledge that can be queried from Oxygen Electronics databases in order to ensure that the best possible price is negotiated, as well as how the “Spot Market” can be leveraged to achieve cost savings.

Analysis of this graph illustrates a specific example of Spot Market Pricing as it relates to both Obsolescence and Market Supply.

Logistics and Transaction Costs:

Over and above using market data to guarantee the best possible price for a component, Oxygen has curtailed all other related transaction costs by negotiating advantageous methods of wire transferring funds and preferred vendors for shipping supplies.

Efficient and accurate processes minimize mistakes and transaction processing time thus reducing overall costs.

Annual negotiations with FedEx, UPS, and DHL ensure that we have the best logistics rates available. Transit insurance is provided by a third party to cover both incoming and outgoing freight so you will never incur additional insurance charges on your invoice.

In response to the overwhelming need of our OEM and CEM clients to estimate component pricing for BOM bid work, Oxygen Electronics has assembled more than seven years of pricing history into a comprehensive on-line database: Pricelynx. This database organized by Manufacturer Part Number, provides buyers of all types of electronic components with a tool to understand and analyze historical pricing as well as extended price trends. Packed with more than 500,000 different part numbers and more than 1,500,000 spot prices, this is the first publicly available tool to facilitate valuation.

Access to the Pricelynx database is offered via an annual subscription of $495.00, with discounted rates for additional users. For more information feel free to contact us at +1 914 289 0202 or via e-mail to Pricelynx@pricelynx.net.
