White Plains, NY – November 1, 2002 - Oxygen Electronics LLC, presents the Version 1.0 of www.pricelynx.net, an on-line database tool designed to provide price decision support information to buyers and resellers of Electronic Components.In response to the overwhelming need of our OEM and CEM clients, Oxygen Electronics has decided to assemble more than seven years of pricing history into a comprehensive on-line database. This database, organized by Manufacturer Part Number, will provide buyers of all types of electronic components with a tool to understand and analyze historical pricing as well as price trends over time. Packed with more than 500,000 different part numbers and more than 1,000,000 spot prices, this is the first publicly available tool to facilitate valuation. “We expect that this tool will be utilized to help our clients value their excess inventory, establish realistic price targets and budgets for obsolete and hard to find components, and expedite our clients bidding and quoting process,” stated Mark Pasdon, co-founder of Oxygen Electronics. Future updates will include more pricing data, as well as the Pricelynx BOM Evaluator, which, with a complete bill of materials, will display a low, medium, and high production cost target. Pricelynx will suggest pricing trends and provide a Pareto Analysis, returning the 20% of the components that represent 80% of the cost helping estimators to focus their efforts.
